Kent Jones
President & Chief Operating Officer
Kent is an experienced banking professional with 25 years of service in community banking. He currently serves as the President and Chief Operations Officer.
Kent has a primary goal of maintaining operational excellence across the organization and ensuring that the bank is operated in a safe and sound manner, consistent with the expectations of the bank’s shareholders, Board of Directors, clients, and employees. Kent has served the bank in many capacities since joining in 2004. Prior to that time, Kent served as an AVP for a community bank in Postville, Iowa, where he was involved in many aspects of operations, lending, and credit administration
Kent earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University in 1998 and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in 2008.
Outside of the office, Kent enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including running, hiking, and skiing. On the weekends, you may find him and his golden retriever, Sadie, hiking on the trails near Boulder. Kent grew up in rural Iowa and enjoys making regular trips back to the Midwest to spend time with his family.
